L' 'Âne et le Tigre

 The donkey told the tiger: The grass is blue.   L'âne dit au tigre : l'herbe est bleue

The tiger replied: No, the grass is green​. Le tigre répond : Non , l'herbe est verte  

The discussion became heated, and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration, and to do so they approached the lion.  

La discussion s'envenime et les deux decident de soumettre l'issue à un arbitre aussi approchent-ils le lion

Before reaching the clearing in the forest where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey started screaming: ′′Your Highness, isn't it true that the grass is blue?"​

The lion replied: "True, the grass is blue"​.

Avant même d'atteindre la clairière de la forêt où le lion était assis sur son trône , l'âne commençe à crier : "Votre Altesse , n'est ce pas que l'herbe est bleue ?" Le lion répond: " Vrai , l'herbe est bleue."

The donkey rushed forward and continued: ′′The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts me and annoys me. Please punish him"​.

L'âne se précipite et continue : " Le tigre n'est pas d'accord avec moi, il me contredit , il m'ennuie . S'il vous plait , punissez le !"

The king then declared: ′′The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence"​.

Le Roi déclare alors : " Le tigre sera condamné à 5 ans de silence "

The donkey jumped with joy and went on his way, content and repeating: ′′The grass is blue"​..

L'âne saute de joie et poursuit son chemin , tout content en répétant : " L'herbe est bleue..."

The tiger accepted his punishment, but he asked the lion: ′′Your Majesty, why have you punished me, after all, the grass is green?"​

Le Tigre accepte la punition mais demande au lion : " Pourquoi me punir , après tout , l'herbe est verte

The lion replied: ′′In fact, the grass is green"​. Le lion répond : " En effet , l'herbe est verte

The tiger asked: ′′So why do you punish me?"​ Le tigre demande : "Donc pourquoi me punir ? "

The lion replied: Le lion répond :

That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is not possible for a brave, intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that to come and bother me with that question

Ca n'a rien à voir avec la question de l'herbe bleue ou verte . La punition vient de ce qu'il n'est pas possible qu'une créature courageuse, intelligente comme toi perde son temps à discuter avec un âne et vienne en plus me déranger avec une question pareille

The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who doesn't care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Ne perds jamais de temps en discussions qui n'ont aucun sens ...Il y a des gens qui malgré toutes les evidences qu'on leur présente n'ont même pas la capacité de comprendre et d'autres aveuglés par leur égo , leur haine , leur ressentiment ; la seule chose qu'ils veulent c'est avoir raison même si ce n'est pas le cas .
